The three women on board will join the female scientist already on the space station.<\/p>\n<p>A former schoolteacher, Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, is among the female astronauts,  and two aerospace engineers, Stephanie Wilson and Japanese astronaut Naoko Yamazaki.
